Did someone say snow?

Hey Everyone, how was your week? I heard that Houston froze over! Good luck, it should snow tonight here! I am super excited to kubari in the snow!
But enough of being cold, this week was pretty warm for the most part.

Tuesday: Kanazawa, Police Station, Housing

Wednesday: Zone Conference and Eikaiwa

Thursday: Weekly Planning, Studies, District Meeting, Eikaiwa Posters

Friday: Kubari! # I can kubari on average 200 flyers a session!

Saturday: Splits with Hattanda Chōrō, Tayaki, Kubari, Biking

Sunday: Biking around 1/4 of our area to change Eikaiwa Posters, Shokuji, Church

Today: SNOW! And emails, our plans might change for tonight we will see. I am sorry that it will be super short today, the SNOW is calling me.

Weird things that happened this week. People keep taking down our posters on a public board. That is annoying. It is completely legal by the way to put up, but I don’t know about taking down.

Zone Conference was on Faith and Finding, so we will do some great finding this week!
I bought a star fruit... i wonder it it tastes as good as the fruit juice that has “Starfruit” flavor.

Thanks! See you later!

The 9 weeks is almost over?

Sorry about last week, there were some technical issues (my iPad was not happy with me).

Here is a review of the last bit:
Last week:
- We had a good reflection time at the start of the New Year holidays. Dendō is slow during New Years.
- Went to Kaminagaya to try and visit an investigator, but he was busy with New Years. Up side of Tuesday the 2nd, we successfully met and talked with the 2 people that we went to talk to, and then we met a cool old guy who practices with swords a lot. The bad side of that contact was he was messing with his sword the whole time that we were talking before we knew that he had it.
-Good district meeting, it went a little long and we were going to get some kubari permission for Kamiooka, but during the meeting we decided that the southern ekis would be better. Only 4 people came to Eikaiwa.
- Weekly planning, and our investigator got the flu, so we had to cancel our next couple of lessons. Good night of housing.
- Note: When I write these I look in my Planner that we fill out everyday. I am on January the 5th and even with all of the check marks in the to do list and the key indicators filled out and everything filled in, nothing is coming to mind of what we did on that day.
- we went to Kanazawa Bunko to get permission to kubari, but what we forgot was that it was Saturday. The police office is closed on Saturday... then we streeted and it was really windy, but because it is the coast, everyone is really nice and happy.
- Had Game night, and a good round of Uno with everyone.
- Went to Idogaya and had to make sure not to leave our area because the last time we went we climbed the wrong hill and ended up in Hodogaya.
- Learned about an awesome new Asia North Area Plan! The members are pretty excited!

This week:
- Housing on the side of a hill, lot of dogs and cats and really weird houses that look like it was difficult to build (the literal side of a hill).
- We are going to use the old paper area book that we found from 8 years ago and contact all of the referrals and PI’s and investigators. Hopefully we will find someone who wasn’t ready then.
- Went to Kanazawa Ward to get permission to Kubari there by some colleges in Kanazawa-Bunko. The policeman was super nice.
- Eikaiwa was empty, but don’t worry, I did have 1 student and 3 people came from a house that Elder Nagaoka and I had knocked on the night before.
- We found out how to put up Eikaiwa posters for free all over the city! We just have to go and change them on the allotted day.
- We got lost in the wrong place (Bessho, aka, lots of hills in a small area)
- We get to send videos to our Ward Mission Leader everyday to tell him about stuff when he is on his break at work (he works in a ramen restaurant)
- Planned a Family History Event, just need to work with the ward now.
- Had a good lesson with a member, our friend will come and see a members daughter be baptized!
- Elder Nagaoka gave a talk, we then taught Sunday School with 2 kilos of yennies, then Young Women's class with the Ward mission leader, that was almost the same as Young Men’s, then had a baptismal service, and we cleaned the font afterwards and took out all of the sand that got swept up during the big year clean up. That was a lot of sand.
- A stress free P-day of emails and a nap!

Coming Up:
- Hopefully a basketball event and a baseball event so that we can cover the split in the ward, (half like each, so we can do both!)
- Yokohama stake Zone conferences!
- Kubari!!
- Running around the area to change Eikaiwa posters so that they don’t get torn down!

It was a good week and to end with something that helped me a lot this week and last week and probably this coming week,
Psalms 46:10: “Be still, and know that I am God”
&
Joshua 24:15: “choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

Think about it,

Thanks! Have a great week!

I have made it to the future!

Just for the record, I beat all of you to the year 2018 fair and square, no TARDIS required. (Inside joke)

Ok, our week was actually really simple, and not that exciting

Monday: Good end to the day with some Kamiooka streeting. It was almost 40 degrees out.

Tuesday: We went to Kaminagaya to visit an investigator, but he was not home, but we made a mistake during the day. We went to Konandai, which usually has lots of students, but what did we forget, winter break! No students, not really anyone out. It was weird.

Wednesday: We got stood up for a lesson with a new investigator who called us, but that is ok, because we know where he lives and will see if he is home yet. He said that he would be getting home from work a little bit late, but forgot to call us, maybe. We had a good goal setting time in District meeting, fun Eikaiwa, I taught about SPACE!

Thursday and Friday: DEEP DEEP DEEP Cleaning. Lots of cleaning on Thursday and Friday and Saturday, wow did our Air conditioning need it. We had a lesson with a new friend on Thursday and Friday, and on Friday evening, we went to a Barbecue and it was great and met some members friends. So much cleaning...

Saturday: followed by more cleaning! We cleaned the church, went home, finished our cleaning, studied, and then had the best Game Night ever. It was super fun and and the investigators who came had a really good time and it was a good message about Moms, so thank you Mom, I talked about you in another lesson.

Sunday: For New Year’s Eve, lots of people were still in town, it was good. The area is getting ready for a new year of working with members to teach, preach and serve. We went home, did weekly planning and streeted a little to do stats at 7-11.
Monday: MINATO MIRAI and groceries. That is about it. I got Lightsaber Chopsticks, so don’t fight me for the last dumpling. (Kung Fu Panda 1) we are going to do an end of the year/start of the year reflection and personal goal time tonight, so i hope that I don’t fall asleep.

Love you all! See you later, from the time-traveling Elder in Tokyo,
Elder Murphy!

He was embarrassed by pineapple dendō so I made him take this picture

He was more happy about this one

Eikaiwa! They wanted a challenge!
