Ok, last week: highlights: Monday: we went to Higashikurume, met a nice guy. Tried to visit Uenoyama Kyōdai, but he is still in the hospital. Cleaned the Eikaiwa cupboard, it is always so messy, added dendō materials for backups.
Tuesday: biked to Kichijoji and took a train to the temple. We had a great time, I got a small Japanese New Testament and it has come in handy a lot this week. We had a good Streeting time at night.
Wednesday: we had a great lesson with Masato, he is slowly progressing and reading the Book of Mormon, but he has a lot of stuff going on this week, so we didn't get to meet a lot. We have district meeting, but then afterwards, we only had about enough time to do studies and do Eikaiwa.
Thursday: went back to Higashikurume, it was super hot. Then did weekly planning. The other Elders were on splits, so we were alone for a while. We went to the Eki to see what people where out on summer break, but I think that everyone is still in school.
Friday: went to Hoya, met a guy from Delaware, we met a nice man who was going to the gym, but then he realized that we were missionaries, he practically dove across the street. We tried to visit a member in the hospital, but they were not doing so well, so we couldn't go in. Then we explored northern Ōizumi, it was a maze of grid streets. Then elder Lewis and I went on splits again and taught Kurenuma about Alma 5, which he just studied. It is really good and deep.
Saturday: we taught another member lesson, about the Plan of Salvation and eternal family. It went really well, we got some good feedback from him. Then we went to Tokorozawa district meeting, which took the time from the afternoon to dinner because of how far away it is. After we ended splits, elder Gerritsen and I went and said hi to Shig, he is doing great. Then we wrote DCS and the Progress record for ward council.
Sunday: we had a good day at church. Masato slept in until after church, but he came and talked to us before Ward council and waited to talk to us afterwards. He just quit his job, so he is looking for a new one. Then we ate, streeted and with all of the talking to members and Masato, we were only going to have time to do studies, but then Kurenuma called us when we were Streeting, and wanted to meet, so we turn around and we get there at the same time. Then we taught him out of the Adjusting to Missionary Life because he had a question about waking up happy. It was good, we will meet him again tonight.
That is about all that happened recently. Transfer calls are next Monday, so we will see what happens. Love you all, sorry for the cliffhanger last week.
